Texas State KA
Alumni Association has a one time fee of $250 and an annual dues
of $25 to join as a "Paid Member". The money is used primarily to
maintain housing for the active chapter. Funding is also used for
mailings and maintaining the website. Between the Fall of 2005
& the Spring 2006 , the Alumni
Association has spent over $8,800 to improve the house. We are
currently are spending over $9,000 for upgrades. By being a
paid member of the association you are entitled to voting rights on
upgrade and or use of proceeds from sale of the house.
People often ask what do I get for
my $250? Quite frankly, it's not what you'll get but more a case of
paying a little back from what you've already gotten. Many of us
got our first job because of a KA, met our best friends through KA,
or met our wives, etc... Don't you think that's worth a little
something. By giving a little back you help that next brother, who
may be your next star employee, or good community citizen, or active
that maintains the ideals of KA at Texas State, or just a better person. After all,
giving to others is what separates KA from the rest.
